Yahoo Finance is seeking an experienced and dynamic Live Correspondent to join our on-air team. This is a high-profile, on-camera position, perfect for a financial journalist with a track record of delivering compelling, deeply reported business news in live formats. The Live Correspondent will report daily from key market sites such as the NASDAQ, along with live coverage from our studio and occasional field reporting.
About the Role:
This is a high-profile, on-camera position where you will play a central role in shaping Yahoo Finance’s daily editorial agenda, delivering market-moving insights, and amplifying our trusted voice across platforms. You will regularly contribute to daily flagship shows, lead live hits from venues such as the NASDAQ floor, and may fill in as a backup anchor on an occasional basis. You’ll bring original ideas, top-tier bookings, and a deep source network to every editorial meeting—elevating our storytelling across video, digital articles, and social.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and deliver live and recorded segments for Yahoo Finance’s flagship programs, including Morning Brief, Opening Bid, Market Catalysts, and Market Domination, and other programs as assigned.
Occasionally serve as a contributing anchor and provide backup coverage for studio anchors.
Generate timely, relevant story pitches aligned with audience interest and financial markets.
Write conversational, accurate scripts and articles that make complex financial topics accessible to mass audiences.
Break news and deliver exclusive insights by leveraging a strong network of market experts, executives, analysts, and policymakers.
Tailor coverage for cross-platform delivery—streaming, desktop, mobile, and social—with a focus on clarity, engagement, and SEO optimization.
Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and data teams to develop visually dynamic segments using Yahoo Finance’s unique tools, charts, and market insights.
Represent Yahoo Finance at key financial events, conferences, and corporate announcements.

Proactively collaborate to create repeatable segment franchises and audience-first storytelling.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in financial journalism with a strong reel of live on-air reporting, ideally from trading floors or business newsrooms.
Demonstrated ability to write and deliver smart, fast, and factually rigorous business and financial stories.
A strong news sense and editorial voice, with a deep understanding of the economy, stock market, corporate earnings, and investor behavior.
Excellent interviewing skills and an ability to land meaningful, forward-looking quotes from CEOs, analysts, and newsmakers.
Ability to work early, late and weekend hours, sometimes on short notice, cover breaking news, and report during major financial events.
Comfortable operating in a high-paced, collaborative newsroom and contributing to multiple formats (video, text, social).
Experience or familiarity with Yahoo Finance tools (e.g. charts, tickers, data modules) is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or a related field.

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
