Summary Generated by Built In

At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: to build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R and to become America's leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both contribute to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. This journey begins right here on Earth – where we design, build, and fly rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit. Terran R, our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, fulfills the growing demand for launch capacity, thanks to our iterative approach that accelerates design, testing, and development while minimizing costs. While our groundbreaking research and development in 3D printing pushes the boundaries of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Your journey with us is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology, additive manufacturing, and the human experience alongside a community of passionate, creative individuals. Join us on this extraordinary journey, as we work together to transform our vision into reality.

About the Team:

The mission of the Engine Manufacturing department is to deliver high-performing products and innovative manufacturing systems while driving continuous improvements in cost, quality, and lead time. Through cross-functional collaboration, high levels of accountability, and a focus on safety we play a crucial role in building our reusable rocket, Terran-R. We are responsible for providing design feedback on new hardware iterations, pioneering and implementing advanced manufacturing methods and systems, and ultimately delivering engine and vehicle hardware for testing prior to launch. Over the past year, the Engine Manufacturing Team has successfully developed, iterated, and delivered processes and hardware for the first Aeon-R development engines. Now, we are entering a critical phase: producing flight engines that will pave the way for Terran-R's inaugural launch to orbit.

About the Role:

Your primary role will include leading integrated scheduling and resource planning, developing and maintaining production schedule and performing schedule baseline change control, collecting and tracking performance and, conducting critical path and variance analyses. You will also provide visibility, status, and regular reviews on schedule performance. You will be expected to resource load, analyze, and optimize production planning schedules to meet required dates while collaborating with design, manufacturing and supply chain counterparts to status critical procurements and impact to schedule, while performing “what if” scenarios, and helping to develop recovery plans.

  • Develop schedules and plans involving both internal resources, partner team resources, and external vendor resources
  • Work with other production planners in other work centers to align on priorities for your product line(s) and collectively respond to changes when they arise
  • Production demand planning duties, to provide actionable insights and drive improved schedule performance for our team
  • Provide meaningful metrics and data to help demonstrate where data collection, measurement and analysis can be valuable in informing strategic decisions regarding resource allocation and planning

About You:

  • 4+ years of experience with large project controls, project planning and IMS; Proficiency with resource loaded schedules using Smartsheet, MS Project, or comparable software
  • Demonstrated experience managing high complexity projects, showcasing strong attention to detail
  • Experience with large project controls, project planning, and IMS; emphasis in development and/or NPI environment
  • Proficiency with resource loaded schedules using Smartsheet, MS Project, or a comparable scheduling software

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Project Management
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, defense, or aerospace
  • Experience with advanced functionality of scheduling software (e.g. Smartsheet automation, baseline/variance functionality, schedule slack calculations)
  • Experience with CPM, PERT, and/or schedule margin methodologies

What We Do

Welcome to Relativity Space, where we're rewriting the rules of rocketry. We have built and launched the world’s first 3D printed rocket, Terran 1, and are now bringing to market Terran R, our reusable medium-to-heavy-lift launch vehicle. Our iterative development approach revolutionizes the process from design to flight, ensuring we can scale to meet customer needs.

Our focus is clear: provide exceptional launch services that are highly competitive in the market. We design and manufacture cost-effective, high-performance, and reusable rockets at an unprecedented pace and scale – setting a new industry standard.

At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R, and become America’s leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both ladder up to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. That journey begins right here on Earth—designing, building, and flying rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit.

A medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, Terran R is designed to meet the ever-growing need for launch capacity. Our iterative approach accelerates the design, test, and development processes, enabling high-volume performance and reliability, with lower costs and shorter time to market. Our 3D printing research and development is at the bleeding edge, setting the standard for a new era of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Why Work With Us

We believe in a future where interplanetary life fundamentally expands the possibilities for the human experience. In realizing this, our long-term goal is to create humanity’s industrial base on Mars. The first step toward this long-term vision starts here on Earth – building rockets and pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing.
