As the DACH Finance manager, the Finance Manager will lead our Accounting team. Will be part of a Global Finance department and will oversee and manage all accounting functionalities and compliance requirements for all our DACH entities. This is a highly visible position and will liaise with Acronis Global Accounting, Legal, HR, FP&A, and Treasury. This role will report directly into our EMEA Finance Leader and will work in a hybrid working model in our Munich office, partnering with a dynamic team across many timezones.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide an effective leadership and mentoring for an excellent accounting team
  • Directly manage 2 Senior accountants

For all the Company’s DACH entities:

  • Provide effective leadership and management for the entire monthly close process for all DACH entities, ensuring all responsibilities are delegated and completed on time
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and weekly payments
  • Oversee monthly payroll
  • Oversee the general ledger and review monthly account reconciliations
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly sales commission calculations and ensure compliance with Company commission policy
  • Oversee quarterly bonus calculations and payouts, ensuring timely processing for payment
  • Oversee monthly transfer pricing
  • Oversee VAT compliance
  • Prepare annual income tax filings
  • Oversee annual Financial statements Statutory audit
  • Provide guidance and oversight on key accounting policy, process/controls and technical accounting issues, including resolution recommendations where required and ensure procedures/operations comply with approved policies/procedures (Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Travel and Entertainment, and Fixed Assets)
  • Active integration of new entities (acquired through M&As or established)
  • Maintain high standard of internal accounting documentation (policies, process, and controls)
  • Establish, maintain, report, and continually improve performance against a set of effectiveness and efficiency benchmarks
  • Assist with variuos Local and Global projects on an ad hok basis

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • BA or MBA in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience. Preferable in Global Software companies
  • German and English language is a must
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship and prior experience in leadership role, managing accounting and financial functions and/or teams
  • Strong understating of Swiss local GAAP and technical knowledge
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills, communication skills both written and verbal, and close attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and complete objectives in a timely and accurate manner
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with financial systems and programs, especially ERP systems
