At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: to build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R and to become America's leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both contribute to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. This journey begins right here on Earth – where we design, build, and fly rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit. Terran R, our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, fulfills the growing demand for launch capacity, thanks to our iterative approach that accelerates design, testing, and development while minimizing costs. While our groundbreaking research and development in 3D printing pushes the boundaries of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Your journey with us is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology, additive manufacturing, and the human experience alongside a community of passionate, creative individuals. Join us on this extraordinary journey, as we work together to transform our vision into reality.

About the Team:

The IT Department at Relativity Space designs, builds, and maintains the technology ecosystem that powers our organization—on the ground, in manufacturing, and at the launch pad. We ensure seamless infrastructure operations, optimize applications and collaboration tools, and provide secure, high-performance computing environments that support both business and engineering needs. Our team safeguards critical systems and data through proactive security measures, risk management, and compliance enforcement, ensuring mission readiness at every stage. We deploy and support engineering software and automation solutions that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and drive innovation across design, production, testing, and launch operations. Reliable, high-speed network connectivity is at the core of our operations, enabling efficient communication and data transfer across sites, test stands, and mission-critical environments. With a focus on performance, security, and continuous improvement, we provide the foundation for scalable growth and technical excellence in aerospace innovation.

About the Role:

  • Project and Site Configuration: Gather requirements and implement new Jira/Confluence projects and SharePoint sites, including workflows, automations, fields, and templates tailored to business needs.
  • User Access and Governance: Manage access and permissions with a focus on least-privilege principles and business alignment, supporting secure and effective platform usage across diverse user groups.
  • End-User Enablement: Deliver training and support on platform features, dashboards, workflows, and queries, helping users leverage tools independently and effectively.
  • Platform Maintenance and Integration: Maintain platforms through configuration management, updates, plugin management, security checks, and integration with tools like chat platforms or incident response systems.
  • Issue Response and Troubleshooting: Triage and resolve platform issues, especially related to integrations and plugins, to minimize disruption and maintain reliable operations.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop clear, user-friendly documentation and internal knowledge base content to support self-service and reduce recurring questions.

About You:

  • Hands-On Atlassian Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, including project setup, workflow design, custom fields, and user support.
  • SharePoint Administration Know-How: Experience configuring and maintaining SharePoint sites, managing content and permissions, and supporting users in day-to-day operations.
  • Analytical Thinking and Troubleshooting: A methodical approach to diagnosing problems, resolving incidents, and improving platform reliability—especially in integrated environments.
  • Clear Communicator and Collaborator: Comfortable training users, gathering requirements, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support evolving platform needs.
  • Security-Minded and Detail-Oriented: Familiar with access governance and platform hygiene practices that align with security and compliance expectations.
  • Integration-Focused Perspective: Understanding of how to connect Atlassian, SharePoint, and other systems to create smooth workflows and minimize silos.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Relevant Certifications: Credentials like Atlassian Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified SharePoint Administrator that reflect advanced platform expertise.
  • Agile Familiarity: Understanding of Agile methodologies and how they map to tools like Jira to better support iterative team workflows.
  • Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Java) to support automation, integrations, and operational efficiency.
  • User Experience Awareness: A thoughtful approach to usability and design when configuring projects, spaces, or workflows.

What We Do

Welcome to Relativity Space, where we're rewriting the rules of rocketry. We have built and launched the world’s first 3D printed rocket, Terran 1, and are now bringing to market Terran R, our reusable medium-to-heavy-lift launch vehicle. Our iterative development approach revolutionizes the process from design to flight, ensuring we can scale to meet customer needs.

Our focus is clear: provide exceptional launch services that are highly competitive in the market. We design and manufacture cost-effective, high-performance, and reusable rockets at an unprecedented pace and scale – setting a new industry standard.

At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R, and become America’s leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both ladder up to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. That journey begins right here on Earth—designing, building, and flying rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit.

A medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, Terran R is designed to meet the ever-growing need for launch capacity. Our iterative approach accelerates the design, test, and development processes, enabling high-volume performance and reliability, with lower costs and shorter time to market. Our 3D printing research and development is at the bleeding edge, setting the standard for a new era of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Why Work With Us

We believe in a future where interplanetary life fundamentally expands the possibilities for the human experience. In realizing this, our long-term goal is to create humanity’s industrial base on Mars. The first step toward this long-term vision starts here on Earth – building rockets and pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing.
